Through the Pay It Forward activity offered by Wild Horizons, holiday makers can make their journey ever more meaningful. Teach your family that gratitude is the best gift one can receive by helping an organisation in need, be it an orphanage, old age home or local clinic. Wild Horizons will give you a “wish list” compiled by the organisation, and a mission to fulfil it by exploring the unique markets dotted around the town. It was a rewarding experience. We felt so much joy and love leaving the orphanage with a grocery list and coming back with everything on the list and even more....everybody was so appreciative. The guide Phum gave us a good hand to find all the products and brought us to the local shops that we would normally not go. I had an amazing day with my guide Ernest. We went grocery shopping to help feed a little village in Chinotimba, visited Rose of Charity orphanage, and Days for Girls organization where I purchased menstrual care hygiene kits and chintenges to distribute to some girls and women in the village. Shop with a Purpose was definitely one of the highlights on my trip to Zimbabwe. Thank you for making this charitable activity possible during my visit! - Anne
We thought this experience was beyond incredible! We simply loved every moment of our visit to the orphanage and loved spending time with the children. We took art supplies and had a chance to do art with several of the children; it was a highlight of our trip. We were deeply saddened that there were not more people taking advantage of this incredible tour and program. The children were so excited to have myself and my husband interacting with them. I do have to say it was a challenge to find the information for this program prior to booking our tour and if it was not for a friend, I would not have known about it or where to look. Perhaps, putting a little more in the forefront on your website would get the children the visitors they love! We thought this program was perfect and hope to be back one day in the future.
