Activity Description

Chobe National Park is well known for its large herds of elephant that frequent the Chobe River on a daily basis. In the dry season an estimate of up to 85,000 elephants can be dispersed within the Chobe National Park, where the majority of them can be found along the river. Apart from the herds of elephants, Chobe also has lots more to offer. The Park has lion, leopard, buffalo and a whole host of antelope like sable, puku, kudu, eland, roan and many others which you can get to see. The river is filled with big pods of hippos and some of the biggest crocodiles in Africa.

This tour departs daily to the Chobe National Park in Botswana. Clients will be transferred to the Kazungula border where their Botswana guide will meet them. They will proceed straight to the morning cruise where they will spend the morning game viewing along the Chobe River. The cruise will end at around 12h30 and clients will go to a hotel on the riverbank for lunch. After lunch, guests will board safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park. Following this they will be taken back to the Kazungula Border where they will be met by their Zimbabwean guide for their return transfer to Victoria Falls.

Customer Reviews

The experience was amazing! We saw tons of wildlife both on the river cruise as well as the game drive! Very knowledgeable guides, awesome food, wonderful sightings. All around great experience. Highly recommend and would definitely do again. - Casen

Excellent - David

This day trip consisted of a morning river tour and afternoon safari with lunch in between at Chobe Lodge. Chobe Lodge is a stunning place and the buffet was great. The river tour was nice but you couldn't see any animals up close. Additionally, I think the guides could be a little more informative. The Spanish-speaking guide was much more engaged and informative than the English-speaking guide. Then during the afternoon safari, you saw alot of the same animals but closer up, as you drive around the river area. All in all it was a nice way to spend a day - Agata

We were picked up on time from our Hotel. Everything was explained well re Border and drivers. We loved our day seeing lots of animals from both the boat and the jeep. The only thing was when we arrived at the Hotel, there were HUGE NUMBERS of people arriving and not enough staff to sort them. Also lunch was catered for a lot of people, but dessert food did run out for late comers. Just a bit of fine tuning in these two areas would make a big difference. - Robin

Excellent day, far exceeded our expectations. Pick up from hotel on time, organized, great lunch. Highlight was seeing 40-60 elephants up close both during the boat portion and land portion. Also saw other animals during land portion. We needed money from an ATM in Botswana since ATMs did not work in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and driver helped us by stopping at an ATM. This day was the highlight of our visit to Victoria Falls -- extremely worthwhile. - Mark
