Livingstone Island Lunch

Livingstone And Vic Falls

Activity Description

Livingstone Island Lunch
(Devil’s Pool and Angel’s Pool if available)

Your tour begins by departing by boat for Livingstone Island from the Livingstone island Launch Site (which sits between the Royal Livingstone Hotel and Livingstone Town). On the island, our guides will let you in on the incredible history of the island as you follow the footsteps of Dr. David Livingstone all the way to the edge of the waterfall.

Those who wish (and are able) can even take a dip in Devil’s Pool or Angel’s Pool, and everybody completes the experience with a 5-star gourmet meal prepared for you on the island itself.

Did you know… guided tours to Livingstone Island have a 100% safety record. It is illegal to visit the Island with a private guide or on your own.

Devil’s Pool is open during the drier months of the year, usually between mid-August and late December, when the Zambezi water levels are low enough for swimmers to take the plunge.

NOTE: DEVIL’S POOL AND ANGEL’S POOL ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WHEN THE ZAMBEZI IS LOW. Safety is our first priority and therefore Tongabezi reserves the right to refuse the swimming activities without prior notice to weak swimmers or if the water levels seem too high. Children must be 12 and above to swim.

Unless you are visiting between mid-August and late December, be sure to check the river levels with our team in advance so as to avoid disappointment.

Professionally-run experience -- great photographer and great thrills to remember forever! Everything from the boatride over to Livingstone island, to the Devils Pool, to the lunch afterwards was wonderful. Recommend for anyone looking to have a unique adventure in the heart of Africa. - David K

What a life experience! Amazing amazing! Felt safe and secure and the guides had an eye on all of us at all times! Thank you thank you A lot of photos taken which was good so we didn’t miss a minute at the Devils Pool A feast of a lunch served to us in the middle of the bush too! All delicious. - Caroline x 1

The lunch was beautiful. It had so much variety and flavor. It was one of the best lunches I had in Africa. I just wish the devils pool was longer. Felt like it was 2 minutes inside the pool and then you had to leave. No bueno - Donna Dunkird

Happy 2018 to you all, My experience on the Livingstone island was perfect, the guides were so welcoming and informative Sadly I did not do the devils pool because I chose not to but it was amazing to see how beautiful and happy clients looked as they enjoyed it The food was perfect just the way I expected it to be, the beef was so tender and tasty the list will go on All in all I had a great experience - Anna x 2

The tour for the Devil's Pool and lunch was such an extraordinary and unique experience. The guides were extra careful and took every precaution to keep us safe. The lunch afterwards was one of the best meals I had while in Africa! I will definitely recommend this to all my friends! - James Novy
